During your Software developer MBO course, you will receive one day a week of lessons at the higher professional education level in Purmerend, from a Bit Academy lecturer. This way, you can already obtain higher professional education certificates for a maximum of 6 modules. With these certificates, you get exemptions for the
higher professional education in Software development from the Bit Academy. This means that you will soon have to take fewer modules. This can give you up to a year of acceleration in your higher professional education.
At the Bit Academy, you follow the higher professional education through an apprenticeship process. This way, you'll gain practical experience while you learn and then earn your college degree.
In Purmerend, the Software developer course, in collaboration with Bit Academy, is taught at the H20 Esports Tech Campus.
1. You are already taking part of the lessons at the higher professional education level and can thus obtain certificates that provide exemptions for the Bit Academy's higher professional education software development bachelor's degree in Software Development.
2. You are better prepared and have an advantage over higher professional education, because you already know what to expect.
3. You can obtain both your MBO-4 diploma and your higher professional education diploma in 6 years.
To participate in the MHBO program, you need one of the preliminary courses below.
- vmbo-kb, vmbo-gl, vmbo-tl, math, English and Dutch desired
- HAVO 3 (with transition certificate), mathematics, English and Dutch desired
- MBO diploma (level 2 or 3), preferably from a comparable previous education
You are enrolling in the Software developer course at our location in Purmerend.
After the first year, we will look at your progress together. Then we decide whether you can participate in the MHBO process.
