Is the course in Dutch or English?

The bachelor's programme is taught entirely in English.

What do I need to be admitted to the HBO course?

You need a HAVO, VWO or Mbo 4 diploma. If you do not comply with this, you can take an intake test. You can only make this if you are 21 years of age or older at the time of starting.

Buitenlandse studenten kunnen zich ook aanmelden, mits hun diploma gelijkwaardig is aan de Nederlandse toelatingseisen.

Zowel buitenlandse studenten als studenten die via de intaketest instromen, moeten bij aanmelding beschikken over een Academisch IELTS-score van minimaal 6.0.

Will I get an official HBO diploma?

Yes. You will earn an accredited Bachelor of Science - Software Development degree, recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.

How much time do I spend on the course per week?

This is a full-time course, with an average of 40 hours per week.

What about student loans or DUO?

You can apply for a loan via DUO, provided you meet the conditions.

When does the training start?

We start every year in September. You can sign up all year round, but full = full.

What does the guidance look like at Hbo Online?

You'll receive personal guidance from a coach, participate in live online sessions twice a week in the evening, and have access to our active community on Mattermost. So you are not alone. In addition, we organize a physical event once a year.

What is the difference between your HBO part-time course, HBO Online and Pro courses?

In the HBO part-time course, we assume that you already know how to program. We're building on that and you'll have one day of classes per week on location.

Hbo Online is more intensive, recognized, and intended for those who really want to take a new step and have no programming experience yet. This is where we start with the basics. You attend online lectures twice a week in the evening and go through the entire program online.

Bit Academy Pro gives you access to some of the course material and assignments, but without a recognized diploma and with less personal guidance.

What makes this HBO different from other ICT courses?

The course is entirely in English and offers the possibility of accelerated graduation. Although we assume a four-year schedule, you can complete modules, assignments and exams at your own pace. You can request exams earlier as soon as you're ready.

I'm already a Pro member. Can I transfer my progress?

Yes, you can. Your progress will be carried over to the bachelor's program. However, the HBO universe is considerably more extensive, so you'll learn a lot of new things.
