Who it's for

A bootcamp fits you if…

  • You want to seriously move into tech within a year
  • You can free up 32+ hours per week, without a full-time job alongside
  • You have HAVO/VWO/MBO-4 or equivalent working/thinking level
  • You're ready to work genuinely hard: this isn't a side quest
  • You don't want scattered courses, but one coherent track with a final project
Not for you if

Look further if…

  • You want to learn part-time alongside work: choose Bit Academy Pro
  • You want a full 4-year Bachelor's: choose the Bachelor Online
  • You don't have 32+ hours per week available: that's the minimum
  • You're looking for separate courses per topic: this is one track
How a bootcamp works

Three phases, one goal

01

Foundation

The first months lay the technical base. Full-time, hands-on, with direct feedback from your coach. No prior knowledge needed, lots of energy needed.

02

Specialisation & projects

Deeper into the material with real assignments. You work on projects that become your portfolio: code-reviewed, live on GitHub, explainable in conversation.

03

Final project & certificate

A substantial final project of production quality, under coach supervision. At the end: an HBO-recognised certificate and a portfolio you can show in interviews.

"Bootcamp students are adults with a clock ticking. So we don't build a theory exam, we build a portfolio they fall back on from day one of their new job."

Promise #8 Career, not curriculum

We train for work, not exams.

Our bootcamps are built around the endpoint: your first job in tech. Final project, portfolio and network matter as much as the tech itself.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about bootcamps

Can I do a bootcamp alongside a job?

We advise against it. A bootcamp asks for 32+ hours per week. A 6–8 hour side job is fine, a full-time job isn't. Want to learn part-time alongside work? Choose Bit Academy Pro.

Will I get help finding a job after the bootcamp?

Yes. You finish with a final project that goes into your portfolio, and we connect you to our employer network (ING, Schiphol, Transavia, NS, Philips, Vattenfall and smaller scale-ups). No job guarantees. But active support, a coach who thinks along, and an alumni network that shares openings.

What about financing (UWV, municipality, employer)?

For career switchers there are often options: UWV (Dutch employment agency) training schemes, municipal retraining funds, or co-financing from your (former) employer. We have experience with all three and help you start the right application. Ask in your intake.

What's the difference between an HBO-recognised certificate and a Bachelor's?

An HBO-recognised certificate means you've learned at HBO Bachelor level: recognised by employers, strong in job interviews, often enough for a junior role. An HBO Bachelor is a full four-year study with Bachelor's title. Want the official degree? Look at our Bachelor Online.
