Why this bootcamp

Companies want defenders who know how attackers think.

The shortage of security specialists is extreme. This bootcamp trains you in one intensive track into one of the most in-demand profiles on the market, offensive and defensive.

01

Attack and defend

You learn both sides: pentesting and exploits to understand how attackers think, and detection and hardening to defend systems.

02

Build and break

No endless lectures. From week one you're in labs and CTFs: cracking systems, finding vulnerabilities and locking the defence back down.

03

Guidance that gets involved

A dedicated coach who reads your work, gives honest feedback and keeps you sharp. Not a ticketing system, but a person who knows your learning process.

What you'll be able to do

Where you stand after the bootcamp

  1. Offensive: pentesting, exploits, CTFs
  2. Defensive: SIEM, incident response, hardening
  3. Secure development: OWASP, threat modeling
  4. A final project: pentest report or detection pipeline
How the programme works

Your own pace. Tight guidance.

The freedom is in your pace, the structure is in the guidance and the projects. That's how you keep momentum without getting lost.

  1. 100% remote

Follow the bootcamp wherever you are. Everything online, with a dedicated coach and a cohort around you.

  2. Your own pace, 6–12 months

Go full throttle and you'll finish sooner. Need more time? That room is there too.

  3. 32+ hours per week

This is full-time. You make real time for it, and that pays off in momentum.

  4. Coach and code review

Your work gets read. You get honest feedback, and when you're stuck you're not alone.

  5. Learn via NexEd

One platform for assignments, materials, progress and your conversations with your coach. No scattered tools.

What you'll build

Projects that become your portfolio

No lookalike to-do apps. Real projects with coach feedback. The kind you show in interviews.

  1. A full pentest report of a deliberately vulnerable application
  2. A SIEM dashboard with real incident response workflows
  3. A final project: pentest report or detection pipeline on a realistic target
HBO-recognised certificate

Finish with an HBO-recognised certificate.

You finish the bootcamp with a final project and a recognised certificate at HBO level. Proof on paper that you can handle both sides: simulating attacks and defending systems.

  • You work towards a final project: pentest report or detection pipeline.
  • You finish at HBO level with 30 EC.
  • A certificate employers recognise and can place.
  • Access to our employer network for your first job.

Coaches & alumni

The people behind the programme.

Our coaches build every week themselves. They give honest feedback and keep you sharp. You'll find them across all our programmes: from MBO and HBO to Pro and the bootcamps.

The coolest thing about this programme? Students pick their own direction: frontend, backend, data, AI. My job is mostly sharpening that choice and keeping them challenged.

The people I coach come from hospitality, healthcare, construction. Six months later they're shipping production code. It's tough, and that's exactly why it works.

I think it matters that you see yourself moving forward week to week. Set goals together, review code, do it again next week. Not magical, but what actually works.

Our HBO isn't a theory exam. We teach the language, the patterns, the trade-offs. In your first year you're already contributing to real systems. That's the difference.

Frequently asked questions

Quick check first?

How long is the bootcamp?

6 to 12 months, at your own pace. Expect 32+ hours per week. Go full throttle and you'll finish sooner; need more time and that room is there.

Is this full-time or alongside a job?

Full-time. At 32+ hours per week it's not combinable with a full-time job. Want to learn part-time alongside work? Look at our Pro courses.

Do I need network or security experience?

No. You start at the basics of networking and Linux. Being critical and methodical matters more than prior knowledge.

Is it really 100% remote?

Yes. You follow the bootcamp fully online, wherever you are. But with a dedicated coach and a cohort, so you're not on your own.

Do I learn both attack and defence?

Yes. You learn offensive security (pentesting, exploits, CTFs) and defensive security (SIEM, incident response, hardening). You understand both sides, and that makes you valuable.

Is this ethical and legal?

Yes. You learn offensive techniques in a controlled, legal environment with explicit permission. Ethical hacking is about defending by understanding how attackers think.

What does it cost and can I pay in instalments?

The investment is €5,280. You can pay in one go or spread it across 6 instalments of €1,000. We discuss the options in your introduction call.

What happens after I apply?

We schedule a 30-minute introduction call and a short intake assignment. If the bootcamp and you are a fit, we reserve your seat for the next start.

Ready for the switch?

Apply for the Cybersecurity bootcamp, or first book a 30-minute introduction call with a study advisor. Prefer to read the brochure first? That's fine too.
