In the Netherlands, this type of degree is called an HBO bachelor: a university of applied sciences bachelor. The programme consists of 240 EC and is registered in CROHO under number 39172. Is this a bootcamp?
No. A bootcamp is a short, intensive course. This is a full multi-year bachelor degree (240 EC) that goes far deeper — covering frontend, backend, databases, cloud, AI and software architecture, with a graduation project at a real company.
How long does the bachelor take?
The nominal duration is four years for the full 240 EC. You agree a sustainable pace with your study coach, which matters if you are combining study with work.
Is there an internship?
Yes. The internship runs in your final year and lasts 12 months, at a real company. Your current employer can host the placement if there is a suitable tech assignment and an on-site supervisor. Your Bit Academy coach keeps supporting you on the job for the whole 12 months.
Can I study while working?
Yes. The programme is designed to be flexible and is followed by many working adults and career switchers. You set your study rhythm with your personal coach, within the framework of the programme.
Do I need coding experience?
No prior coding experience is required to apply. There is an admission process, and you start from the foundations and build up across the programme. Curiosity and commitment matter more than existing experience.
What language is the programme in?
