Full-stack Developer Course
A Full-stack Developer builds both the front-end and back-end of web applications. Bit Academy offers two main routes: Pro Full Stack Web Developer at your own pace, and the Full Stack Developer Bootcamp that takes you to junior in a year full time.
Which route fits you?
Bit Academy offers different track types. For each route below you'll see who it's for, how long it takes and what certificate or diploma you receive.
Pro · Typically 15–24 months
Pro Full Stack Web Developer
Online Pro route covering the whole chain: HTML/CSS/JS, React, PHP/Laravel, databases, deployment. Recognised Pro certificate plus portfolio.
Bootcamp · 6–12 months
Full Stack Developer Bootcamp
Intensive full-time route. Front-end, back-end, databases, deployment. HBO-recognised certificate (30 EC), three-month placement required.
Which situation matches yours?
Switcher in a year
You have a job in another field and want to study full time to be a developer within a year. The Bootcamp is built for this.
Working professional
You're working, can't quit, but want to move into development. The Pro route gives you self-paced learning alongside your job.
Junior with basics
You already have some programming experience (self-study, hobby projects) and want production-level skill. Both routes accept you; Pro offers more flexibility.
Don't want to choose front-end vs back-end
You want broad hireability and the whole stack. Full Stack is deliberately broader — specialisation can come later via Pro Frontend or Pro Backend.
What does a Full-stack Developer do?
A Full-stack Developer works both sides of a web application: the front-end (what users see) and the back-end (logic, databases and APIs behind it). Good full-stackers move easily between layers and reason about the whole system — not just the layer they're currently in.
In practice you work with HTML/CSS/JavaScript and a front-end framework (often React) on the front, and a server-side language (PHP, Python, Node) plus a database (SQL) on the back. On top: Git, deployment (Docker, CI/CD) and collaboration with designers, product and QA.
What skills will you learn?
Both Pro Full Stack and the Bootcamp teach: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React on the front; PHP and Laravel on the back; SQL for databases; plus Git, Docker and CI/CD for deployment. The difference is pace and depth — the Bootcamp is more intensive and concludes with a three-month placement.
Both routes build your portfolio while you learn. You don't finish with an exam but with multiple real projects employers can evaluate.
Full Stack or specialise?
Junior developers usually find a first job more easily as full stack than as a specialist. Reason: small and mid-sized teams need people who can contribute across the stack. Specialisation becomes valuable later — when you know which side really excites you.
Want to specialise straight away? Pro Frontend or Pro Backend give you that. Be aware that you'll be narrower as a junior and may take longer to find the right first employer.
Pro, Bootcamp and HBO are not the same
Each track type has its own proposition. Below you'll see what each one stands for.
Pro
Online, alongside your job, self-paced. 15–24 months, €59.99/month. Recognised Pro certificate plus portfolio. For working professionals and part-time learners.
Bootcamp
Full time, 32+ hours/week, 100% remote. 6–12 months, HBO-recognised certificate (30 EC), three-month placement. For switchers aiming to be junior-ready in a year.

Answers to common questions
What's the difference between Pro Full Stack and the Full Stack Bootcamp?
Pace and intensity. Pro is online, self-paced, alongside work (15–24 months, €59.99/month). The Bootcamp is full time (32+ hours/week), 100% remote, 6–12 months, with HBO-recognised certificate and a three-month placement.
Do I need programming experience?
No. Both routes start from zero. Logical thinking, perseverance and willingness to learn independently help.
Which languages will I learn?
Front-end: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React. Back-end: PHP and Laravel. Databases: SQL. Plus Git, Docker and CI/CD for deployment. The principles transfer to other languages and frameworks.
How do I find a job after this course?
The Bootcamp has an employer network and helps actively with placement — three months of internship are included. With Pro you build a portfolio you present yourself; many students apply Pro as a side step within their current employer.
Is this recognised?
The Bootcamp delivers an HBO-recognised certificate (30 EC). Pro Full Stack ends in a recognised Pro certificate plus portfolio. For a full HBO bachelor see HBO Online Software Engineering.
